How to Properly Measure Baking Ingredients?
🧁 Flour: Use the spoon & level method—spoon into the cup, don’t scoop or pack, and level with a knife. Follow sifting instructions carefully.
🥣 Oats: Use the type specified and measure using spoon & level. Blend whole oats if quick oats are needed. Baking Powder & Soda: Stir or shake before use, scoop lightly, and level off. Replace every 3–6 months.
🍞 Yeast: 1 packet = 2¼ tsp. Measure like dry ingredients and choose the correct type (active-dry or instant).
Sugars:
- White: scoop & level
- Brown: pack firmly
- Powdered: spoon & level; sift if lumpy
Cocoa Powder: Spoon & level; sift if clumpy.
Liquids: Use liquid measuring cups and check at eye level.
Sticky Sweeteners: Measure in dry cups; lightly grease for easy pouring.
Semi-Liquids: Use dry cups, spoon & level, then scrape out completely.
Butter: Use stick markings or measure before melting.
Add-ins: Scoop or pour; precision is less critical.
Pro Tip: Use a kitchen scale for the most accurate results.
How to Properly Measure Baking Ingredients?
1️⃣ Divide the dough in half: Just like with the cut-out cookie dough, this makes the dough more manageable.
2️⃣ Roll into logs: Roll each half into a log shape, per your recipe’s instructions.
3️⃣ Roll logs into coating: If your recipe calls for rolling the cookie dough logs into a coating like coarse sugar or sprinkles, you can go ahead and do that now.
4️⃣ Wrap and label: Tightly wrap each log in plastic wrap, and label with the name and date.
5️⃣ Thaw the dough: Transfer the wrapped log or logs of cookie dough to the refrigerator the day before, or at least a couple of hours before you intend to bake the cookies.
6️⃣ Slice and bake: Once the dough has thawed enough for you to cut with a knife, slice the cookies and bake according to your recipe’s instructions.
How to Knead Dough?
1️⃣ Prepare the surface – Lightly flour a clean countertop.
2️⃣ Place the dough – Put the dough on the surface and shape it into a ball.
3️⃣ Push the dough – Use the heel of your hand to push the dough forward.
4️⃣ Fold it back – Fold the dough in half toward you.
5️⃣ Turn the dough – Rotate it slightly (about a quarter turn).
6️⃣ Repeat the motion – Push, fold, and turn continuously.
7️⃣ Add flour if needed – Sprinkle a little flour if the dough is too sticky.
8️⃣ Knead for 8–10 minutes – Until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
9️⃣ Check readiness – Press the dough; it should spring back slowly.
🔟 Rest the dough – Let it rise as your recipe instructs.

1️⃣ Wrap the pan: Double-layer foil around the springform pan, covering the bottom and sides tightly to prevent leaks.
2️⃣ Boil water: Heat enough water to fill the roasting pan about 1 inch deep.
3️⃣ Set up the pan: Place the wrapped pan in a roasting pan, pour in the batter, and position it in the oven.
4️⃣ Add hot water: Carefully pour hot water into the roasting pan around the cheesecake (about 1 inch deep).
5️⃣ Bake immediately: Close the oven and bake without delay.
